چکیده

Background: The pigeonpea eriophyid mite, Aceria cajani Chan., vector of sterility mosaic disease in pigeonpea, causes economic damage up to 90% during the early stages crop growth. major element deploying management practice is know population dynamics pest. Generally, vectors causing agents were managed with synthetic chemical. So we have taken studies efficacy insecticides and acaricides its control on pigeonpea. Methods: A. Chan. was monitored field plots from January 2021 December 2021. For a completely randomized design organized. Twelve treatments (insecticides/acaricides) tested against [var. ICP 8863 (Shree Maruti]. Result: This study found that mite reached peak summer (March) another post-monsoon period (October), whereas lowest populations recorded winter (January). Correlation exhibited significant positive correlation both maximum minimum temperature. insecticide acaricide trials all chemicals used effective entomopathogenic formulations comparatively less effective.

Integrated Weed Management in Pigeonpea [Cajanus cajan (L.) Millsp.]

Uncontrolled weeds cause considerable losses in the grain yield of pigeonpea. Field experiments were conducted for seven years from 1998 to 2004 on a loamy sand soil to study the effect of weed management on weeds, growth and grain yield of pigeonpea. In some years, weed dry matter was higher than in others, due to variation in rainfall received. Two hand weedings, pendimethalin in integration ...

Genetic Patterns of Domestication in Pigeonpea (Cajanus cajan (L.) Millsp.) and Wild Cajanus Relatives

Pigeonpea (Cajanus cajan) is an annual or short-lived perennial food legume of acute regional importance, providing significant protein to the human diet in less developed regions of Asia and Africa. Due to its narrow genetic base, pigeonpea improvement is increasingly reliant on introgression of valuable traits from wild forms, a practice that would benefit from knowledge of its domestication ...

Biological control of Fusarium wilt of pigeonpea Cajanus cajan (L.) Millsp with chitinolytic Alcaligenes xylosoxydans.

Alcaligenes xylosoxydans protected pigeonpea from Fusarium wilt in a pot experiment and field trials. When seeds of pigeonpea (C. cajan) were treated with A. xylosoxydans and sown in soil infested with Fusarium, the incidence of wilt was reduced by 43.5% and resulted in 58% higher grain yield. The antifungal activity of A. xylosoxydans was based on chitinase production and was comparable in eff...
